10 years <3

Happy birthday sunshine <3 I still remember the days when I got you. You use to walk around the house right behind me and cry in front of the door whenever I closed the bathroom door or the kitchen door for 30 seconds. And you were such a focused puppy in puppy school - all the other puppies were just being puppies goofing around, while your eyes were set on me, wanting to please. How special and easy you were. You learned everything so fast. I remember you didn't want to eat at all - just play. How crazy you were about toys. How much you loved company. How you cried next to my bed because I didn't let you jump on it and then every morning I woke up you were on the bed. The first tricks you learned and the moment I realized you can learn just anything. I remember how you learned to play the piano. And walk on your front legs. And how much you loved watermelon. How you woke me up every morning at 6 o'clock to go for a walk or play. Things haven't changed much... You don't cry in front of the bathroom door anymore. And you don't wake me up anymore. All the rest is the same. I love you, little Ben. And I love remembering you as a puppy. And I just love having you around, thank you for not getting old, I feel so privileged to have you in my life.
