This boy is so very special to me. He is the living memory of my dear Winnie. This little perfect child came to us completely unplanned. After I lost my Winnie and I found out that her sister Pomme was expecting puppies… no, I really couldn’t resist. I named him Kanga Roo, after a character from Winnie the Pooh’s cartoon, probably the best name I could have given him – he sure is one little kangaroo

Kanga Roo is a dog anyone would wish to have. He is simply perfect. Brave, sweet, hardworking, fast, smart, crazy, self confident, brave and beautiful… I do think he doesn’t have one single fault. He is the easiest to train, the easiest to live with, the easiest to love by everybody. Well, his hair is simply one big mess, one has to have a bit of a sense of humor to see him beautiful

He just loves to do everything – he loves to play, loves to run, loves agility, loves to eat, loves to sleep, loves to cuddle, loves to bark… He is one pure joy. He never seeks trouble like other pyrsheps, he is peaceful, joyful, friendly and just cautious enough. He likes to be the closest as possible. I don’t really like to compare him to anyone, but it is impossible not to see the resemblance with his auntie Winnie. He is determined, focused, crazy, driven, intelligent and there are moments when I stare at him and see her eyes. Yet he has his own personality , he is very cuddly, rational, a real couch potato inside and a barky child outside. He is always happy to do anything.  If I could clone this dog, I gues I would make a million copies.

What I love most about him is his devotion. He is the most "dependent" of my dogs, he seems to be glued on me. I have never had a dog who would be so obsessed with just being with me, he spends his days watching me, lying in my lap, bothering me when I am working, he would always prefer to be uncomfortable and lie on the cold floor under my chair or on the table next to my computer than on the couch like the rest of my dogs. It might sound annoying to most other people, but to me he really is exactly what I have always wished to find in a dog. He is actually a really easy dog to live with, but as long as he can be next to me, not just next to, but he needs to be touching me.

On agility he is a happy flower. Well he just doesn’t care. About anything. In the end training him is not as easy as it seemed at first, well on one hand it is – he is super talented, motivated, fast and agility seems to be so natural for him, he has a perfect structure, perfect jumping style, great understanding and he is super fast. But yes, he just couldn’t care less about being right and perfect  He is always the first to get the idea what to do, how to do it and he is actually the fastest of our dogs on the course. But unlike MikMik he just couldn’t care less about mistakes, he always looks for shortcuts and if that means skipping strides on a dogwalk on A-frame, skipping poles in the weaves, a refusal on a jump here and there, he will try to do anything to move around the course faster. Sometimes his idea of agility is a bit dangerous so he is the first of my dogs that I actually have to slow down a bit. But all that said, I confess I have a thing for him. I adore this dog, I love every moment spent with him, I admire his life enthusiasm and his “don’t worry be happy” attitude is so contagious! It is really hard to take things seriously around him. When he skips a jump or tunnel his face is like “Oh, relax, it’s just a jump, there’s always a next one, and look how fast I got to the tunnel by skipping that jump, how awsome is that??!!” Our agility runs are either a complete disaster or breathtaking :D Anyway, I once heard, pyrsheps mature at the age of 7 – 8 or so, so there’s still hope for us!!
