I grew up in a small town and then later in a small village in a small country called Slovenia. Lots of people say Slovenia is a small paradise on Earth, but to be honest I believe paradise can be anywhere as long as one enjoys what he/she is doing, is surrounded by good company and... dogs. Dogs are my biggest passion, though I was not one of those typical girls wishing and begging her parents to have a dog. We had dogs in our family, but what I really wanted was MY OWN dog. The one that I could choose by my own wishes, the one I could teach and train, the one I could take anywhere I wanted, the one I was responsible for. So I bought my first dog, a poodle, when I was 23 and graduating at the translation department in Ljubljana.

As a child what I loved most was simply being a child. I never wished to be older or adult as other children or teenagers do. I just wanted to stay a child forever. I remember how sad I was when I turned 13, as for some reason I believed 13 is a bridge between a child and an old person :D I never liked adults, I found them so boring and honestly I still do, most of them, I could never understand most of the things they do, like watching movies or news, smoking, drinking coffee (which tasted horrible), or sitting in a bar, talking about weather or politics. I found adult people so boring that I swore I will never do these things. And I don't :) I don't watch movies or news, I don't smoke, I don't drink coffee (yep, still tastes horrible), I hate bars and pubs and even more small talk and politics.

I liked school a lot until we got subjects like history and chemistry. I was a pretty good student with good marks, but I am just not that type of a person who would sit and study for hours. I was quite brilliant at languages and maths, but horrible at history, memorizing long pages was just not my thing. So obviously my only hope were languages, I went to study translation, English and German, and was again brilliant at grammar, translation and language, but average at history and literature. Besides fluent English and German I also speak Slovene, which is my mother tongue, Serbo-Croatian (which is very similar to Slovene and my my father's mother tongue since half of family is Bosnian), Spanish (which I learned living in Spain) and I understand a bit of Italian but I am far from fluent in that language. If I ever have time to learn a new language it is going to be French, it sounds so soft and nice, and I really like the French, too.

I have tried many many different jobs - from waitress, toll collector, art material seller and casino hostess to teacher. I was quite a hardworking student, maybe not good at studying long hours, but I used to spend long days from Monday to Friday at the University and all weekends working in a casino to earn money for my studies and train tickets. And still gradutated with flying colours. After graduation I started working as an English teacher which is by far my favourite job so far. I love teaching in general, whether it is teaching small children, teenagers, adults, even seniors, dogs or agility enthusiasts. Teaching is my passion and there is no better feeling than having a grateful student who likes to learn and following the progress of your students.

Apart from languages I have always excelled sports and music. I used to dance for 10 years or so and I have always loved basically all kinds of sports. I particulary love to run, since it allows me to take my dogs with me. I run about three or four times a week, usually 10km. I love swimming and hiking too, but unfortunately none of my dogs is a passionate swimmer and in the South of Spain there are not really many mountains... But we do a lot of hiking on our vacations. I also used to play the piano for many years, but my long wish has always been to learn to play the classic guitar. I also like making crafts with children or my friends, playing board games, or simply laughing and chatting about silly things.

But most importantly I love spending time with my dogs. My dogs are my family, I take them everywhere. My life turned upside down when I got my first dog, my super Ben, he changed my life completely and ever since I actually organize my life in such a way to be able to spend as much time with my dogs as possible. Very true. I have three dogs now, all three of them completely different, one poodle and two pyrsheps and you can read more about them by clicking above on their names in section "About us". However, to make the family even crazier, my boyfriend also has a bunch of dogs so alltogether we are one big crazy but happy family.
