Stands out for her stunning pretty face and beauty

This time there was absolutely no doubt about the breed, I wanted a pyrshep. MikMik is a face rase pyrshep, both of her parents are face rase though they both come from poil long lines. Right from the start I just knew she was The One, I obviously didn’t have much choice, as she was the only girl, the last born of 5 puppies, but still I would have probably made the same decision even if there had been 5 girls. That little broken tail at the top, on the same spot as my Winnie, and so tiny… Too many coincidences, I firmly believe she was meant to be.

MikMik is… well, special, in looks as well as in character. She is really tiny, which is very unlikely for a face rase pyrshep, seems like the only thing that grows on her is her hair, especially on her head, very funny, as if she wanted to look like the real roadrunner from the cartoon (yes, that’s where her name derives from).

She is nothing like our other pyrsheps, she is much more calm and rational. I am used to seeing pyrsheps jumping up and down or flying around all day, stealing or inventing what no one has invented before… So I prepared myself for “the worst”, a puppy pyrshep: no sleep, no rest, broken home, stealing food, breaking limits, just name it… But then this little ball of fur came home and left me completely in shock – not sure which one was more shocked, me or her. She was terrified of the sound of clicker at first and for the first three days she would just hide under the sofa for the whole day. She was very well socialized and very well taken care of by her breeders, so I don’t think it was fear, but merely the separation from her mother, brothers, home and the breeders, which resulted to be really too much for her. It wasn’t easy for her to accept me as her new companion and for some reason, I thought this was another good sign, as she reminded me so much of Winnie, I knew that once she welcomes me in her heart, she’ll hold on to me like a tick. I was more than right. She is extremely attached to me, she follows my every step, she doesn’t care about anyone else and I guess she thinks the world is just me and her. Very pyrshep-like.

Inside she is very calm and peaceful. She loves to sleep, she loves to cuddle and she would never break anything. She likes to play with her toys on her own, of course lying next to me, biting her toy and throwing it off the couch by her nose and then fetching it. She must be like the easiest puppy ever. She gets along very well with all other dogs, even those that tend to be a bit more annoyed by her presence, but she couldn’t care less about that. When a dog warns her or growls, she would just give him some kisses and lie next to him or invite him to play. Nobody can really take her seriously so in the end she steals everyone’s heart. She is also not one of those pyrsheps who learn to jump in your lap or on the couch sooner than they learn to walk. She took her time to do that, but once she learnt how to do it, she decided to pretend she still can’t and would put her front paws on the sofa and wait for me to lift her up. But when nobody is around to help her she can jump perfectly on and off the couch. She has a nice on and off button and she is a real couch potato as long as nobody is eating. But when she smells food, she suddenly converts into a funny pyrshep jumping up and down, dancing like a pro and showing tricks. Her eyes change and her large tongue gets larger, her face gets that crazy expression and one must admit that she must be a pyrshep afterall.

Outside she behaves more like a border collie than a pyrshep. I think she must have spent too much time with border collies as a puppy :D.  She likes to herd other dogs, she waits for them in a down position and then “attacks”. But then she got some poodle ideas too, I guess dancing on two legs must be Ben’s influence. She really likes water, she likes to jump into the water and then she would swim to me and hug me. She is also not that “suicidal” as other pyrsheps that like to jump over any wall or fence or into any hole just for the fun of it.

I said she must be the easiest puppy ever. And the smartest too. I am very amazed by her thinking skills, she is quite a brainiac, she has some brilliant ideas for such a young puppy and an amazing balance. She really likes eating, so she would show all of the tricks she knows (and those that she doesn’t, knowing she will break me by offering something really cute) when I eat. Well yes, I just can’t resist rewarding that, I think she learnt like half of the tricks she knows by offering them at the table when I’m having lunch. Yes, she is really bad behaved at the kitchen table, but I think I can survive that, her enthusiasm at showing off is just priceless. Shaping is a piece of cake for her and she is always one step ahead of what I wanted to teach her.

She is simply unique. I think she realizes very well that she is pretty, smart and special. I like that  Just my type of a dog. She is still a puppy now, but no matter how she develops, I just know she was the right choice, the best choice. Special thanks to breeders Michael Müller and Christina Kähler (Crazy  Goblins kennel, Germany) who did a brilliant job with all the puppies and for trusting me this little treasure.
